Game, Set, Mental Health

A documentary aiming to break the stigma surrounding the topic of mental health within the sport of tennis and investigate what is in place to support the mental wellbeing of players on the professional tours, in the hope that the conversation can be normalised and the existing support can be improved.

Mental health has become a much more open topic of conversation in recent years, but there are still some industries where a stigma remains attached to the subject of struggling psychologically. Game, Set, Mental Health takes a deeper look at the mental struggles tennis players face whilst on the professional tour, and how they and the sport’s key organisations are working to break the stigmas surrounding the still taboo topic of mental health within the sport. The documentary also turned to those in power at the Association of Tennis Professionals and Women’s Tennis Association to ask what support is already on offer and how this will be further improved for the future.
